It all started in 1861
The Denver City Band was formed in 1861 to bring culture to a mining town. More than 160 years later, we're still here, but today we're known as the Denver Municipal Band. We're also still bringing music to the Denver-area community. In fact, today, our mission is to bring music to Denver-area residents (from Westminster to Highlands Ranch) for free in parks near them. We also help Denver-area youth develop a passion for music and refine their musical talents.

Education programs for young musicians
The Denver Municipal Band also provides educational programs in the Denver area. We guide young players as musicians and participants in Denver's rich, cultural community. We provide musical opportunities for underprivileged communities and champion the growth of our next generation of professional Denver-area musicians.

Donate to the Denver Municipal Band
Help keep the tradition alive by giving free music in local parks in the Denver area. We're a volunteer-led and supported organization, paying only our musicians. This keeps administrative costs low but prevents us from doing much marketing and promotion.
